Bias & fairness.

AI assessment carries real risks of bias. We take this seriously and design to reduce it, while being honest that no system is perfectly unbiased.

How we address it

  • Role-relevant criteria. Assessment focuses on job-relevant competencies, not personal characteristics.
  • Structured, consistent scoring. The same rubric is applied to every learner for a role.
  • Explainable feedback. Reasons are surfaced so bias is easier to spot and challenge.
  • Human oversight. AI informs — people decide. Scores are not a hiring gate.
  • Ongoing review. We monitor and refine, and welcome feedback on fairness.

We recommend AI feedback is used to support, not replace, fair human assessment — especially for learners with disabilities or for whom English is an additional language.
